Out of the Cold is a community initiative supported by various churches and organizations in the area. The cooking teams use the kitchen facilities at Blythwood Road Baptist Church, 80 Blythwood Road.  ESG has been a core participant in the OOTC effort for many years.

In 2022, Blythwood Out of the Cold joined forces with Seeds of Hope, a downtown agency that provides support services for the homeless near Dundas and Bay. From November through April, ESG prepared over 1000 hearty dinners, all cooked at Blythwood.

A Future Outlook for OOTC

For 2024-25, we have committed to 6 healthy, hot dinners, from November to April.  Donations to support the purchasing of food for the cooked meals are greatly appreciated.
